The 1st of October was this past Saturday, so HALLOWEEN HAS FINALLY BEGUN. After a long year of waiting for my favorite holiday to come, it is finally here!! Let me clarify that yes, Halloween is the entire month of October. As you might be scoffing and saying no to this idea, you know that this is true. Fall is my favorite season and Halloween/October is my favorite holiday/month, so ya girl is here to provide many of reasons as to why it is the actual best time of the year.
1. Halloween Decorations
I actually decorated my door area to my dorm already. Like I said, October 1st is the start to Halloween.
2. Costumes!!
I dress up for the entire week of Halloween (Halloweek); this year Halloween is on a Monday, so this Halloweek is 8 days this year!
3. Halloween Candy
I love Halloween candy. I am one of those who actually likes candy corn, but more so I just love the Halloween themed candy goodness that comes with this holiday season.
4. Pumpkin Bread
I LIVE FOR PUMPKIN BREAD.
5. Halloween Themed Foods
I really like anything that is Halloween Themed, but treats that are made for the Halloween theme are either really cute and spooky or super creepy yet real rad.
6. Pumpkins (Patches and Carving)
Looking for the perfect pumpkin in a pumpkin and patch and getting to carve it into a jack-o-lantern is always a good time and there are so many options on how to decorate them.
7. Corn Mazes
When I was quite young, I hated corn mazes, but with age, I have come to enjoy them. I used to be quite the scaredy-cat, but I am more the one who jokes around with the scarer, asking them how they are and telling them I hope they have a good night.
8. Halloween Movies and TV Shows/Specials
I'm not one for scary/horror movies, but I'm all about movies and shows like Over the Garden Wall, Hocus Pocus, Halloweentown, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Corpse Bride, Casper, Paranorman, Scary Godmother, The Corpse Bride, Monster House, etc (as the list is quite long).
9. Caramel Apples
I (always) love caramel apples every time of the year, but fall (and carnival time) are the most acceptable times to eat them.
10. Bonfires & Hay Rides
Nothing like going on hayrides before that corn maze and a bonfire after it.
