The holidays are coming which means shopping season is among us. Already there are commercials talking about the hottest item and the latest craze.
However not everyone can afford to give the thing that their loved one wants the most and I think that is what makes the holidays depressing sometimes is the fear of letting someone down because they didn't get that present that they really wanted.
Here are some ways that you can give an awesome gift but still not go broke while doing it.
Do A Grab Bag
My family is doing this, basically it is like Secret Santa except each person knows who is shopping for who, it definitely saves a lot of money if you are just focusing on the person it can decrease the worry of having to buy for so many people.
Offer To Take Them Out
GiphySometimes the best gifts don't always have to be wrapped up or put in a box. Maybe instead of material things buy something to make memories with! Buy them tickets to a play they have been wanting to see, take them ice-skating (most places it is free!) Spend a day in the city, the best Christmas gifts don't always have to be wrapped up and put in box.
Do A White Elephant
Not only can it produce funny results, it can also be a great way to bond and grow closer with one another, just don't end up fighting when something gets stolen.
Set A Limit
GiphyWhen I say limit I mean a price limit, because why spend so much money on one person, maybe make it like max 40 dollars you can find some awesome things for that person without spending a fortune you don't need to get them the newest apple watch or the flashiest shoes, what do they like get something that shows their interest.
Have A Theme
GiphyMaybe you can buy the same gift for everyone of your family and friends. Maybe get them some crazy socks because who doesn't love socks, or you can do a cookie swap or maybe share your favorite recipes.
The holidays are what you make of it, if your loved ones don't like what you do for them or don't appreciate that it is the thought that counts then maybe you should reconsider who you hang out with.
Happy Holidays!
