This Fall's Hottest Trends

Fall is one of my favorite seasons, not only for the spookiness of Halloween but because some of the hottest trends that come out of the fall season. It seems though that this year we kind of skipped over the amazing fall weather that we usually get, but nonetheless the fall trends are still taking over the fashion world. The greatest part of Fall trends is that they are able to last all throughout Winter as well, all you have to do is add some layers or a pair of tights and there you have it Winters hottest new trend.

The first trend is Bomber Jackets, oh how I love a good bomber jacket. As I have been walking around campus I have been noticing more and more people start to wear them on campus. My favorite part about bomber jackets is that they can also carry over into other seasons. I have a few bomber jackets and each of them is for a different season, they also can be made out of many different materials which make them even more stylish. The best website to get a Bomber jacket is from Boohoo, they have such a wide variety of Bomber jackets and in so many different styles it's hard to only buy one.

LEATHER, LEATHER,LEATHER!

Leather is probably the best trend to come out of the fall season, I saw it coming back sometime over the summer but didn't really see it make it's statement until fall rolled around. Between leather jackets and leather skirts, leather is everywhere! This is a trend that everyone needs to hop on, everyone needs to have that stable leather jacket or leather skirt in their wardrobe. The best place to purchase leather (where everyone of my leather pieces are from) is TopShop, from leather skirts, pants, jackets and even shoes they are the leather Gods.

This next trend is something that I saw that started on Instagram, when I first saw it my first thought was I need one of these dresses now. I looked all over online for a cheaper silk dress, finally Urban came through and released them in all of my favorite colors. My favorite way to wear silk dresses is pictured above, I love the dressed down look that the basic tee provides and I love that if you just take the tee off you can dress this dress up to the nines.

These knee-high boot go perfect with the silk dress and basic tee above, once again this is a trend that I saw starting on Instagram and now it's everywhere. These boots can be paired with anything and look amazing! They go especially well with mini dresses, skirts and even shorts! they are the perfect Fall boots to wear with you knit sweater dress. The best places that I have found to buy these boots at are Steve Madden, the store has such a wide variety of boots to choose from it's actually a little overwhelming.

Shoes seemed to be the major trend this fall along with the blue toned lilac color. These heels are the perfect fall heel, they're not to big but they're also not too small, the color of these shoes is to die for. I also love the strap placement on these shoes, it's not overdoing it and you can dress these shoes up or down. As of right now these shoes are out of stock but check back on Steve Madden for similar styles!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
