Sure, nobody's perfect. I mean, Hannah Montana wouldn't have made a song about it if it wasn't true.
But there comes a time in everyone's lives where they start to question everything they do. They wonder if the choices they are making are on the right path. This is all a part of growing up.
We've all been in that position several times. It isn't just a sign of mental illness, it's a common thought for everyone. You can't predict the future so you can't see how your choices will affect it. No matter how big or small the situation, this can be very stressful and can cause us to overthink our actions. But is the overthinking really worth it in the end?
For all you that continuously question whether you're making the right decision or not, it's time to break the habit. You can't decide the rewards or consequences of your actions, so you can't determine them ahead of time. Sure, it's good to brainstorm how you or others may react to your actions, but it's best not to dwell on that one thing.
Changing your thinking means changing your mindset. This includes turning your negative talk positive. It means destroying your self-destructive tendencies and replacing them with more inspirational ones. It's turning "This is the wrong thing to do" into "I can't wait to see how this turns out", and turning "I probably shouldn't" into "I'll try it and see what happens". It's all about coming out of your comfort zone.
Decision making isn't easy, but it's time for us as humans to stop the negative doubts that could possibly come from the outcomes of our actions. This has done nothing but hold us back from our full potential.
If you think you're doing everything wrong, keep in mind that taking a chance and failing is a part of growing up. No decision is a wrong decision, just a life lesson.
