Things you definitely need when moving to a new apartment.
A few weeks ago I moved into my new apartment. This time was very different because I did not just fill a room in an already occupied apartment. My roommate and I started with an empty apartment. In preparation for the move I have been making purchases the last couple of months for things we needed. Here are seven must have appliances and such that you should have for your new apartment.
1. Tool kit
This is very important. I bought mine a few months ago because I realized how necessary it is to have one. My roommate and I have used our tool kits a couple of times since moving in, and it is very inconvenient if you don’t have one.
2. Tuber ware
I really don’t need to explain this one. Everyone needs a good set of tuber ware.
3. Cleaning products
Before the move make sure you either locate your box of cleaning products or go and get some. It is important because there will be messes from the day you move in to the day you move out.
4. Can opener
This is just something that I didn’t really think about and I was really glad my roommate brought one with her.
5. Trash can
This is another one of those things that is crucial to an apartment. Funny story I showed up with a huge box of trash bags, and we had no trash can. At least I was somewhat prepared.
6. Microwave (maybe)
My last apartment came with a microwave, but many don’t so keep that in mind when budgeting for appliances.
7. Coffee maker
This is a crucial everyday need for my roommate and fortunately I already one.
I didn’t realize how much I actually needed for my move until I moved. This seems to be the trend around moving. If you are getting ready to move hopefully you have all the things you need ready to go, good luck.
