As a college student, we have many issues we have to deal with on a daily basis — lack of sleep, empty bank accounts, and a plethora of papers and tests. With the Christmas season already here, we’re all making our Christmas Lists to send home to our parents and relatives. If only we could ask for what we really wanted for Christmas.
1. More sleep.
I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to the point in my college career where I’ve gotten enough sleep. It’s actually sad, I think.
2. For professors to stop thinking that their class is the only class we have.
Seriously??? Why do they give us insane amounts of papers, homework, and tests??? OBVIOUSLY your class isn’t my only class. We both know this. And yet you still seem to think I have all the time in the world to do your assignments. Funny how that works.
3. No hangovers, like, ever.
Self explanatory.
4. A never ending closet of cute clothes.
Yes, I have friends whose clothes I borrow and who borrow mine in return. Do I always get those clothes back? No. I wish my closet could be like London Tipton’s in the Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Anyone remember it? That thing was massive and carried an echo when you said something. Now that’s goals.
5. An unlimited bank account.
My father has honestly stopped replying to my texts when I ask for more money. Does that stop me from calling him and thus convincing him to give me more? No. Will I ever stop? Possibly when I graduate. Can’t teach an old dog new tricks, though.
6. No covers at bars.
Honestly, they take enough of my money. Why do they need to get more by charging a FEE to get in? It’s because they know I’m going to pay it. It’s tragic. But it’s also called capitalism and it’s what our country runs on.
7. Someone to stock my fridge and always prepare my meals.
It’s hard to find time to go shopping and prepare healthy and tasty meals. I wish that my fridge could always be stocked, the food could always be made when I want it, and that it was healthy yet tasty. A girl can dream.
8. Drinking and eating as much as I want without gaining any weight.
College really does some damage to the ole body, let me tell you. For the people who lost weight in college, you’re not to be trusted. The rest of us will wallow in self pity and alcohol, which ironically caused the weight gain in the first place. It’s a cruel world.
9. A well-paying job once I graduate from college.
I’ve panicked way too many times to even count. I can’t wait to live in a shoebox and have to worry about my own health insurance and if I’m going to be able to pay rent! Being an adult seems like so much fun.
