No matter where in the world you live, some days it can feel like there is absolutely nothing to do. Whether you're with your friends, your significant other or alone boredom can take over and suddenly you're on a desperate search for anything to do.

1. Go on a hike.

No matter where you live, there are always places to go explore. Check out your city's local parks for a beautiful day of exercise and adventure.

2. Make a tie-blanket.

Head on over to your local Joanns, Hobby Lobby, Walmart or any craft store and pick up two yards of two styles of fleece. (Typically one patterned and one solid looks best). Lay one on top of the other and make sure they are even. Then cut long and even strips around the parameter of the blanket and tie each one tightly. Another alternative to tying them is to cut a half inch slit in the center of each piece that you cut. Take the fleece through the half inch center that you cut. That's all! Then cuddle up with your new blanket and watch some Netflix.

3. Have a movie night.

Stop by your local Red Box and see what new movies are out. Grab a few movies, some snacks and your friends and have a movie night! (Don't forget your new tie blanket).

4. Try Pinterest recipes.

Log onto Pinterest and look and the endless world of recipes it gives you. Find the best-looking one, make sure you have all the ingredients and attempt to make them yourself--or experience a Pinterest fail--Good luck.

5. Try a new restaurant.

Get in your car and keep driving until you find a restaurant you've never been to, maybe never even heard of, and give it a try.

6. Go bowling.

Go to your local bowling ally with some friends for a fun day. Most allies offer coupons or deals if you look around, making it an inexpensive activity--the best kind!

7. Go look at dogs.

Go to your local pet store or animal shelter to see all the cute puppies and cats they have. Spend some time playing with them. It'll make both you and the animal happy (and its free)!

All these activities can be done no matter where you live with your friends, significant other, or even by yourself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
