Sometimes life is happening so fast that we forget to step back and smell the roses. A happy life is about the little things, so it is time we wake up and start appreciating the simple pleasures in life.
1. Sleep
First and foremost, we never ever get enough sleep. Giving yourself that extra hour or two of sleep can really make a difference in your life. Even a nap can help! If we are being completely honest, you can't get anything done when you're tired anyway, so you might as well let yourself sleep.
2. Shop
And by shop, I mean online shop of course. This way, you never have to leave your bed and put on pants. Honestly, I am not even talking about buying anything, just filling up your cart with all items you would potentially buy is fun.
3. Read
Reading is one of those things that you either love or hate. But, even if you love it, sometimes you can never find time to actually read. Or, if you're anything like me, you wake up in the middle of the night with a book still in your hand. Setting aside specific time to read is such a small change that we all really need to start doing!
4. Face Masks
Face masks are my absolute favorite. Not only do they make your skin feel amazing, but you can finally Snapchat pictures of your whole face because you technically aren't showing anything anyway. All jokes aside, taking care of yourself is very important, and face masks are good for your skin. I also love that you can do stuff with a face mask on. Oh so conveniently, you can read and put on a face mask at the same time… talk about killing two birds with one stone!
5. Create
I know that not everyone is super creative, but this can literally mean anything. We never take enough time to actually sit down and explore what we are good at, or even what we maybe aren't so good at, but really enjoy anyway. This can mean drawing, singing, dancing, painting, sculpting, writing, or literally anything else that requires you to expand your mind and open up. Nothing is more satisfying than finishing something you poured your heart and soul into, and, quite frankly, we all need more of that feeling.
