Hey Y'all, what's up?
This article is going to be a little different than some of my most recent articles. By this, I mean that this is something that I haven't really done before because I'm actually going to tell you all some of the New Years Resolutions that I made for myself. I know that most people do this once the new year hits, some people think about it before the new year.
But for me, I wanted to wait to actually think through and make resolutions that are logical and I'm actually able to do.
So I thought about what I wanted to do this year and these are the ones I can up with
1. Drink more water.
Staying hydrated is a big part of staying healthy. I drink a decent amount of water anyway so why not drink more? There's plenty of benefits to drinking water so I guess drinking more won't hurt.
2. Go somewhere that I've never been before.
I love traveling a lot. I love experiencing new places and seeing how different every place is whether it's 20 minutes or 20 hours away. It doesn't matter, I wanna see more places in the US.
3. Go back to NYC.
About four years ago, I went to NYC for the first time and I fell in love with it. There's so much to see that I need to go back and see it all again. From Central Park to Times Square, there's so much that I wanna see that I didn't have time to see the first time I went.
4. Self-care
2018 is all about self-care and taking time to yourself. Doing things for yourself is so important and spending time doing things for yourself to destress or to feel rested and recharged. Focusing on self-care is something I lack sometimes but I'm slowly am getting better
5. Try something new.
Whether its something as crazy as skydiving or something as small as trying a new food. Just try something new, add some adventure to your life.
6. Eat healthier.
This is one I struggle with because it's really easy just to say "oh, I don't want to cook so I'm just going to get a pizza or something." That's not what 2018 is about. It's about being healthy and eating better one meal at a time. I am going to fall off the wagon, but when I do just get right back on
7. Listen to new music.
I love listening to new music and finding things that I love. Spotify makes it really easy and gives me a new music playlist every Friday. So I'm making a pact to listen to that more because it doesn't hurt to listen to new stuff.
8. Stay positive.
Sometimes you get caught up in the day to day life and it brings you down because there's plenty of negative things that happen and it's easy to get caught up in that. Learning to stay more positive is something I want to strive to do all of 2018.
That's all for this article until next time. I hope your 2018 is amazing!
