2017 is a' comin' and in order to suffice for hearing "new year, new me" a million times - I am writing a list of five things I want to do in 2017. A year is 12 months, I have time - let's have at it.

1. Get A J O B.

and, not just any job; but, an actual job for my major. I am talking 401K, Dental, Health benefits making at least 30k/YR. I am totally kidding, I just want a job that makes me happy and that I can do and it doesn't seem like a daunting task. I want something to make me happy and writing does that; so, ultimately I want a job that makes me happy in 2017. That isn't too much to ask for, right?

2. Travel.

I want to travel so much more, I am going to be taking a semester plus off of college (if I decide to go back) and I want to travel a ton more. Not just because I want to be aesthetic, but because it will help me grow as a person.

Traveling is what makes us experience the world and other people in it - I, at least, want to travel somewhere whether that be by train or plane.

3. Ride On A Plane (At Least Once).

I know I won't like it, hell, I am 100% sure I will not. But, I feel like I should try it at least once. Other than the huge fright I have of planes, you never know how the experience might go at the end of the day.

I know a lot of people who said they did not like the idea of planes; however, the moment they got on one and got off they had a blissful experience. I mean, that doesn't mean I will be happy-go-lucky to go on a place, but I can try it... at least once.

4. Move Out.

I need to move out and not because I am sick of being at home, or because I need to move out - I just feel it's time. I am 23 and in 2017 I will be 24 - I gotta go. I know I gotta go and I want to have my own apartment somewhere in 2017. Start small and then make it big. Things take time, but living with mom for another two years ain't gonna be the time I waste. I gotta survive on my own.

5. Get Rid Of Clutter.

I have so much clutter that I have not even begun to put a dent in yet in 2016.

I have started and got rid of a ton of stuff that was not needed; but, I can always get rid of more. I can always get rid of that extra clutter that is making my life a constant annoyance when it comes to cleaning any part of my room.

Plus, when I move out I want to have to carry as little things as possible. I don't want to carry a bunch of old letters from middle school to my new place. Oh, no, we cannot have that.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
