The 2 Things You Should Stop Worrying About
Josh Terada

1. Stop trying to pursue others expectations of you.

If you are always seeking approval from other’s you will never start living for yourself. For example, if you are driving and you are looking off in a different direction than the road, you are more likely to go where you are focused on. So if you are constantly seeking approval from others you most likely will eventually find their approval but you will also soon find, even with their approval, there is something inside of you that feels empty. If you are looking off a different direction than the road you will eventually crash. Follow your path even if there are distractions or approval temptations along the road.

2. Stop trying to fit in.

I personally never had a group of friends longer than a year that I fit in with. I was always kind of an outsider. But that doesn’t mean that it is hard for me to make friends, it's just hard for me to find friends that understood who I was and where I wanted to go with my life. Since I never conformed to a group of friends I have always had a sense of individuality and that one characteristic I love about myself. Even though this line is cliché defeating the purpose of individuality but be yourself and don’t ever apologize for it.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
