10 Things To Drink If You Hate Drinking Water But Know You're Dehydrated

Your doctor has probably constantly reminded you how important it is to drink approximately eight eight-ounce glasses of H20 every single day. That's a lot of water. There are definitely certain days where I drink more water than I need to, way less than I need to and some days where I drink the perfect amount. But, then there are also days where I simply just feel bored with drinking water. That's when you have to spice things up a little bit -literally.

1. La Croix.

I'm sure you've heard of these, they are everywhere. It's slightly related to our good friend, Whiteclaw, but just remove the booze. Depending on your flavor of choice, these can be really refreshing!

2. Crystal Light packets.

If you're like me, sometimes the taste of water just needs some form of enhancement. Crystal Light offers a whole assortment of different flavors to add to regular water bottles and what's even better: they are still only five calories a pack.

3. Tea/Coffee.

This goes without saying, but our caffeine buddies are filled to the brim with water. Next time you feel bad about having more than four cups of coffee a day, just blame it on the fact that you're dehydrated.

4. Mio Drops.

These are the newer, trendier versions of the Crystal Light packets. Instead of dumping in a packet of flavoring into a bottle, you squirt the flavor in. This means you can add as little or as much flavoring as you prefer! Once again, it has many flavor options so you're bound to find one you like. (These also last a really long time!)

5. Popsicles.

Believe it or not, Popsicles contain lots of fruit juice and water! A late-night treat can maybe push you over that eight cups a day mark.

6. Coconut water.

Now, I'm not personally a fan of this, but I know multiple people who love it. It's exactly what it sounds like: water from coconuts. And for some people, this is way tastier than regular water.

7. Kombucha.

You'll either love or hate this popular drink, but it's a great replacement for water. There's a whole array of brands, tastes, and flavors with an added benefit of extra probiotics and antioxidants.

8. Infused water.

Sometimes adding a little lemon to your everyday water can make a huge difference. Maybe you're in the mood for grapefruit today... or apple? Whatever floats your boat.

9. Mix it with juice.

Similar enough, if you don't have fresh fruit available, you can simply pour some of your favorite juice into the mixture. It'll be slightly diluted but at least you know you're getting a solid intake of H20.

10. Vitamin water.

I know- it's not the best for you. It has way more calories in it than regular water does, but it's still better than drinking soda all day. There are tons of varieties and these can really hit the spot when water isn't doing it for you.

Although we do need water every day, it can get a little repetitive. So, if you're ever dreading chugging your whole bottle of water at this very moment, try adding some Crystal Light, or some fruit, or even some juice. There's always a better solution, am I right?

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
