I'm not usually one to be caught frowning. Sure, everyone has those days, but even on those days I will always try to be smiling as big as I can! Just to show the world that it isn't going to get the best of me.

I try not to stress too much either because it's annoying and wrinkles...duh. I'd rather get wrinkles from laughing incredibly hard at something stupid my friends did. However, with it being the crunch time, I'm sure you've locked yourself in your room and not spared any time for relaxation or fun.

So, here are 50 things to help you smile through the finals. Since you're probably "researching" something or taking a "five minute break" from studying.

1. Puppies. (Come on, you knew that would be first.)

2. Finding a couple bucks in your pocket.

3. A class being canceled.

4. Seeing no line at Chick-Fil-A.

5. 70 degrees and sunny.

6. Starting your car and your favorite song is on.

7. Hitting every green light.

8. Free shirts. (Or free anything for that matter.)

9. The fact that Papa John's delivers to your dorm.

10. Getting anything "just because", whether it's an encouraging text or little gift.

11. Babies.

12. Babies doing anything.

13. Toddlers.

14. Toddlers doing anything. (But mostly toddlers falling down.)

15. Thinking about a favorite memory.

16. Thinking about The Rock wearing an extra small t-shirt.

17. Watching someone slip or get hit in the head. (I can say this because both have happened to me enough times and it's just straight up hilarious.)

18. Checking something off your To-Do list.

19. Catching up with an old friend.

20. Talking to your mom or dad on the phone.

21. Roasting one of your siblings in the group chat.

22. Finding out your favorite band is coming to your city.

23. Catching a sale at your favorite store.

24. Christmas shopping.

25. Christmas in general. (Or whichever holiday you celebrate!)

26. Spreading good vibes.

27. Extra credit.

28. Knowing that you'll never have to be in high school again.

29. Twitter and all of the glorious memes it brings us.

30. Kevin from The Office

31. Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation.

32. Leo finally winning an Oscar.

33. Finding a matching pair of socks.

34. Happy Hour at Sonic.

35. The fact that Weezer is still around.

36. Home cooked meals.

37. Vines. (RIP)38. Having a good hair day.

39. Your Big/Little. (But most of the time both.)

40. Mark Wahlberg in his prime.

41. Finding a hilarious old picture of your roommate that you may or may not use against them at some point in the future.

42. Nailing the punchline of a joke.

43. Having a clean room.

44. Seeing your friends happy.

45. Being the reason they are happy.

46. Breaking out of your comfort zone.

47. Knowing that you will (hopefully) never have to take these classes again.

48. Knowing that you will (hopefully) never have to have that one professor again.

49. Thinking about the fact that you'll be at home in roughly a week.

50. Believing that everything will be alright in the end.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
