After spending several days stuck inside because of the snow, I have brainstormed some ideas to beat the cabin fever:

1. Make your favorite winter drink.

Whether it's coffee, hot chocolate, or hot tea this is the perfect way to start your morning after finding out work or school is closed!

2. Get snowed in with someone you can spend at least 24 hours with.

This is probably the most important tip!

3. Find a new recipe to try!

Find a good soup recipe to share with whoever you are snowed in with! One of my favorites is the 8 can taco soup recipe!

4. Have a movie marathon.

Harry Potter, Pirates of The Caribbean, Star Wars, The Lord of The Rings, Spider-Man.

5. Make snow cream.

Here are links to 5 different flavors of snow cream recipes!

6. Shovel snow if you feel like you need a good workout.

Trust me, it counts as a workout after laying around the house for hours!

7. Take pictures in the snow.

Only go out long enough to take the pictures and then hurry back in.

8. Rearrange furniture or redecorate a room.

This project will take up a lot of that time and keep you from feeling bored.

9. Find something to organize.

You will thank yourself later! This can be your closet, purse, desk.. anything you use on a daily basis!

10. Call a friend or family member.

Since you have the day off, take the time to reach out to someone you haven't talked to in a long time and catch up!

11. Meal prep.

This is the perfect time to complete this time-consuming task and might keep you from snacking on junk food.

Hopefully, if you find yourself bored or feeling unproductive during your snow days, this winter these ideas will help you overcome cabin fever!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
