During the school year, you count down the days until summer, the long days of relaxation and sunshine. But by the time you get a few weeks into summer vacation, you start to count down the days until you go back to school. Why? Because school is where your totally awesome and amazing college friends are.

Here are just ten of the many things to miss about your college friends while away for the summer:

1. The conversations.

Whenever they're around, the conversation just flows. They range from serious topics to outright stupid ones, but they'll always be there to listen and keep the convo going.

2. Late night hangouts.

When it's 11 p.m. and I have nothing to do, I can always count on one of them being in the same situation, which always leads to the best memories.

3. Coffee dates.

So. Many. Coffee dates. And always at random times. Sometimes 12 p.m., but more likely 12 a.m.

4. They're always down for dinner.

I can always count on my friends to join me for dinner on nights you just don't want to be alone.

5. The online shopping.

Sitting around and online shopping together is one of the single most fun things. You get to talk fashion and always have someone there that lets you know when you really wouldn't look good in something before you buy it.

6. Living close by.

Because of how close you live in college, you can see your best friends every day. And that's the greatest feeling.

7. Constant laughter.

There is never a moment we are not laughing about something. Something we saw, something someone said, something on the internet, anything.

8. Cooking together.

Cooking together, baking together, eating what we were supposed to bake together.

9. Taking pictures.

They are the best models and the best photographers ever.

10. Gossip.

We love to talk about celebrity lives like we are the ones living their lives. We know too much and we talk too much. But that's all part of the fun.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
