5 Things I Need My Friends To Find In A Significant Other

Not that my friends NEED a significant other by any means because they are all amazing, independent individuals themselves. However, when they do find someone to be with they need to be special. They need to deserve my friend and also, have these five qualities.

1. Someone nice

Probably the most important and obvious one is going to be my number one: be nice! I really would just love for my friends to find someone who is kind and has a good heart. I feel like it is not that much to ask! Someone who is considerate and a downright generous person.

2. Hardworking

Most of my friends are very hardworking people and they need a significant other that is too. They need someone that will push them to be their best and achieve their goals. They should have their interests too that preferably compliment my friends. Someone that has a passion for what they do, their hobbies and the people in their life.

3. Happy drunk

Okay, this one is a little out there but hear me out. Drinking is a part of many people’s lives, especially in college. Having someone that is fun to be around no matter what and have a social life with is part of a relationship.

We all know people out there that turn into jerks when they drink or are just a mess. I honestly have no room for people like that and wouldn’t be able to be friends with someone like that. I would LOVE if my friends could end up with someone that will just have a good time with them when they go out.

I think it also kind of says something about a person if they get aggressive whenever they get intoxicated… and not something good.

4. Good listener/communicator

I love my friends and not to brag but I’m a pretty good listener. If they could find someone else in their life that was as good at listening as I am, I think it would make them very happy. Also, it’s cliché, but communication is sooooo key to a relationship. My friends need someone that will be honest and just is great at talking with them in general!

Someone they can trust and understand. Someone that isn’t distant and afraid to share their feelings and remembers those stupid little details about them that they mentioned several months ago.

5. Supportive

Finally, I just need someone next to me on the sidelines cheering my friends on. I love being my friends’ cheerleader after they ace a test or get through a tough week but if we could add another person to our squad to cheer them on, I would be all for it. Also, someone that is going to be there for them in the rough times that can give them emotional support past what I could.

Long story short I love my friends and I want them to find someone that makes them crazy happy. I want them to not stop smiling for days and talk about them until I’ve heard their name enough times to make me sick. Beyond that, though, I want someone who is good for them in every possible way and can be their equal, if that is even possible!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
