Finals week is fast approaching and so many things could go wrong. Do not wait to the last minute to save your assignment. Save your work every ten minutes or so. Set five alarms. Save extra copies of everything. You never know what could happen.
The website won't load.
I hate sitting there while the page spins and spins trying to load. I logged back in ten times today trying to submit something that was due. I wanted to give up.
Your computer crashes.
You're almost done with your homework when your laptop bails on you. You lost at least three pages of content. My least favorite thing is retyping my paper. It was hard enough to write it the first time. I don't want to write it again and try to remember it all.
You wake up late.
There's nothing worse than waking up late, changing clothes, and sprinting to class. I personally need breakfast in the morning or I'll starve and be hangry.
You have a big project/paper due on top of the final.
Why do you have to have two massive time commitments in the same class at the same time? That's horrible planning. What professor wants to grade a million projects and tests at the very end of the semester?
Your final being your only grade in the class.
How is that fair? No pressure or anything.
Your car dies.
As if you needed something else to be stressed about, you have to find a ride and fix your car.
You lost your only copy of your paper.
Maybe you should've printed an extra one because you have no idea where the paper is. You've checked everywhere.
You run out of ink.
This could be for your printer or for your pen during your final. For the former, you'll be making a speedy, last minute trip to Walmart. For the latter, you'll be praying you have another writing utensil.
You need a blue book.
What makes a blue book special? Nothing. So why do you have to write on that particular paper? Because your university needs more money. Time to run to the bookstore and buy a blue book even though you have plenty of notebook paper.
You're fighting with your friend/roommate/SO.
Is it just me or does it seem like you always end up arguing when it's the least convenient? Now you can't focus on studying because you're upset.
You got scheduled extra hours at work.
You're excited about the money, but now you have no time to study for finals. Is it a win or are you screwed?
The best thing about finals week, however, is when it's over. As soon as you get done, winter break starts and you can forget everything school related for a month. Good luck on finals and happy holidays.
