In college, you meet hundreds of new people. Some of us are lucky, and we meet that one person that can change our world. Before we know it, we're head over heels for the guy who lives down the hall or the girl in our math class. Relationships in college aren't like what they were in high school. We are no longer dating people that we've known for years or living with our parents. Dating is harder, we have more responsibilities, but if you can make it work, it could be one of the best things that has happened to you. For those of us in a relationship in college, here are some things we can all understand.

1. Laundry Days

Having a boyfriend means that there is always going to be someone there to keep you company while you're doing the chores you hate.

2. The Roommates

We've all been there. It's hard to find alone time with your boyfriend when you both have roommates. You have no way of knowing whether your roommate is going to walk through that door.

3. Eating together

You pretty much eat every meal together, and he's seen you eat enough to feed a small village, but he doesn't judge. On the occasion that you're not that hungry, he'll finish your plate, so you don't feel like you're wasting.

4. Going out

The beauty of going out with your boyfriend on the weekend is that you know you'll always be safe. Even if you're at a sucky party, you can still count on having fun because at least you have each other.

5. Study dates

College relationships consist of a lot of study dates. Since most of your days are spent studying, at least you have someone to keep you sane.

6. Netflix and Chill

Those occasional days where you don't have any work to do or when you're feeling under the weather you can count on your boyfriend to sit and watch your favorite show on Netflix.

7. Your biggest supporter

He will always be your biggest supporter. He will always understand that school comes first. He'll be by your side through it all.

8. End of the Year

The hardest part of a college relationship is when you have to switch into long distance mode. You go from having your best friend down the hall to being miles and miles away, but you know it's only a little while until you're right back to the place that you started.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
