Thing I Don't Care About And Neither Should You

Everyone is entitled to their opinions but some times it's better to be the listener than the speaker.

Everyone has different opinions, preferences and views but when it comes to some things people post on the internet I look at them and think to myself “ugh I don’t care” or “why do you even care?” So, here are a few things that I definitely don't care about and neither should you!

1. Race

It confuses me as to why there is still racial discrimination anywhere. Everywhere you go there are stereotypes for every different kind of person on this planet, but to truly dislike a person because of their race seems quite ignorant and indecent. We are all human beings with families and lives and to say that one person is less deserving of another based on their skin color is frankly inhumane.

2. Political Views

It seems to be a trend nowadays, especially with the election coming up, to post about your political views on social media. Guess what? I really do not care at all who you are voting for, why you are voting for them, or if you think Donald Trump is an idiot. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and it's fine to voice it, but sometimes it's better to be the listener rather than the speaker.

3. Gender/Sexuality

Again, a big controversy right now and for what reason I do not know. It is baffling to me that other people can care so much about another person's life that they believe you should not be able to marry someone of the same gender or identify. New flash, people are going to live their lives the way that want to and your opinion or shame is not going to stop them. What are they doing to you?

4. How much you drink/party

We all like to have a good time on the weekends. But I really never saw the point of tweeting about how drunk you were last night or hungover you are today. When I am out with my friends I actually have a good time instead of posting snap chat stories to show all of my other “friends” how “good” of a time I am having.

5. How much money you have

There's nothing worse than that person who complains they were given the wrong color Michael Kors purse for Christmas. Having a lot of money is probably nice and something to be proud of but you don’t need to put a picture of your $500.67 charge total from Urban Outfitters because I don’t care and neither does anyone else.

The list could go on but I think you understand the picture, when it comes to posting things online just put a little thought into it. I have never been one to care about what other people thought about me but using my head before I post something is always a must. Don’t post something just to grab attention, especially something that could be used against you in the future. Be smart & stop caring about what everyone else thinks, just be you.

The Post Thanksgiving Panic And Anxiety

It happens to all of us, the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas the catch up with you.

Thanksgiving Break is most likely everyone’s favorite break during the fall semester. You get to go home and reminisce with all your high school friends. That diet you’ve been on for the past month goes out the window, and you get to eat until you put yourself into a food coma. There’s no rush on homework and you can just lie in bed and Netflix to your heart’s content. To me that sounds like an ideally wonderful break, and totally stress-free.

Grey's Anatomy

Even Shonda Rhimes, winning creator and executive producer of the hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and The Catch agrees that relationships with fictional characters are real. In her book, The Year of Yes she states, "I have spent more time with Meredith and Christina then many of my actual friends...When you watched TV, even spending a full hour with Christina once a week, you were likely spending more time with her then you spent with most people in your life. That relationship was real."

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.
