Thick hair is both a blessing and a curse. Sure, you can do more hairstyles with thick hair than you can with thin hair, but do I really enjoy looking like I belong in "The Lion King" when it's humid outside? Definitely Probably not. Here are 9 truths that anyone with thick hair will know like the back of their hand.
1. You never understand why people constantly tell you that you should be lucky to have thick hair.
2. You've broken more combs and brushes than you care to admit trying to tame the beast that is your hair.
3. You go through at least 2 bottles of conditioner before you even go through 1 bottle of shampoo.
4. People will often suggest that you blow dry your hair, but fail to realize that it could take hours... or days.
5. You know what also takes hours? Air drying your hair. You truly cannot win.
6. You always carry around extra hair ties with you because you know that your hair is bound to make half of those ties snap.
7. Straightening or curling your hair is a joke because guess what? That takes hours, too.
8. You have to prepare yourself when you go to get your hair done because the hairdresser will go on and on about how thick your hair is as if you had no idea.
9. Thick hair generally means shedding.
Your hair is on your clothes, in your car, stuck in your shower drain, and plastered on your shower wall. It's everywhere and there's no avoiding it.
