There Is A Roommate From Hell Out There, And It's Not Yours (Hint: It's Brianna Rae Brochu)

You thought that YOUR roommate situation was bad, but there is no way that it is this bad.

So, apparently, some girl has been arrested for doing unspeakable things to her roommate's personal belongings, and thusly her roommate, because apparently nothing is sacred and people are disgusting. The girl, Brianna Rae Brochu, reportedly messed with her roommate's, Chennel Rowe's, toothbrush, coconut oil, face lotion, among other things. And the things she did, let me tell you, are absolutely revolting.

I mean, I have had some horrible roommates in my life (like the worst possible bullsh*t I have ever experienced), but Jesus, this is awful. I mean like really, really, really disgusting. I can't say that I have ever had someone mix moldy clam dip into my face lotion or lick all of my utensils, so I count myself lucky. This all came about as a result of a supposedly "hostile" environment created by the victim. Apparently Brochu was retaliating due to a deteriorating living situation full of supposedly uncompromising behavior and alleged Snapchat videos taken on the victim's part.

You know, because the logical reaction to this situation is to poison your roommate by subjecting her items to all sorts of bacteria and mold without telling her...because that's exactly what reasonable people do. And then, logically, you post about it on social media, bragging about it, because that's completely normal and not messed up at all... I mean, seriously, wtf?

So next time you think you've got it bad with your roommate situation, be thankful that it isn't this bad! She takes the cake, for sure. It's truly absurd, especially considering that this girl could have potentially died from being so sick... And I must also say, that the charges being filed against Brochu seem pretty weak considering what she did to Rowe.

If you feel up to it, you can see the victim, Chennel Rowe's, one and a half hour video on this truly effed up situation and the subsequent "handling" of it by the school (as Chennel claims that they attempted to sweep this under the rug) here.

Also, you can read some of the articles on this here and here.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
