I wanted to create this article answering some basic Christian theological questions.
Q? Where is the concept of Trinity in the Bible?
Matthew 28:19 states to "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," showing the concept of trinity directly in the Bible. John 14:9 states that anyone who have seen the father, have seen me.
Even the Torah when it predicted the coming of the Messiah, it says, "For to us a child is born, to us, a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.", Isaiah 53:3-7 also predicts Christ's suffering. Also the son of man or the savior will come riding on a donkey: Zechariah 9:9, among others.
Q? Explain in your best manner the divinity of Christ?
I am Miaphysite, I believe God has a united single compound nature where he is both fully human and fully divine. Someone who is just fully divine but not human can't die because he would be just spirit. A regular human also can't die for our sins. It has to be a nature that is fully divine and fully human because then you have a truly innocent men who is our God and all knowing savior taking away the sins of the world.
Q? What believed sexual sins is talked about in the Gospel?
God made men and females separately. They made man that when a man marries a women, he shall leave his family and the two becomes flesh. [Genesis 2:24] As the Bible states that God has created men in his own image. [Genesis 1:27] Also the Bible states that if one joins themselves for sexual immortality outside of marriage or prostitute the two still will become flesh and it is a warning the apostle Paul gives for fornication. [1 Corinthians 6:16]. Another clear indication is [Hebrews 13:4] that sex outside marriage is adultery.
The Bible also has many arguments against homosexuality. One of them is [Romans 1:26-28] which clearly states that shameful lusts, meaning even homosexual thoughts aren't godly and that homosexual acts are unnatural. Those who will still practice homosexual acts can't inherit the kingdom of heaven. [1 Timothy 10]. Leviticus 18:22 also goes on to say that homosexuality is detestable.
Now the point of this answer isn't to insult gays or taken as me hurtfully judging them. I am just pointing out verses in the Bible because it is a common misconception that the bible doesn't mention anything against it explicitly. This article is meant to look at these common theological questions through an un-bias scope of lens. I do believe though that the Bible is an infallible book of wisdom.
Q? What church do you go to and why?
I go to a church that holds the traditional apostolic beliefs mentioned in the bible and follows traditional Trinitarian and biblical concepts. These concepts can be found in many different areas in the Bible as well as writings by people who followed the apostles like St.Barnabas or St.Stephen. Also many writings and historical documents such as the teachings of St.Jerome, and the greek subtuegent validated these concepts throughout history.
Q? May you please clarify the faith vs. works argument?
Lots of times people believe that it is just faith by grace, but we also need to keep in mind true Christians must exhibit Christ's actions and servanthood throughout their life. Jesus washed the disciples feet, and ultimately gave his life for us, a person of faith will exhibit this through lots of our works and behavior in order to better bring people to God's kingdom.
Q? What Bible should you use any why?
I would use an old Orthodox Study Bible or a JKV Bible because they are closer and less altered from the original translation of the subtuegent.
