What is your fondest memory as a kid? Going to the zoo? Riding kiddie rides at the nearest amusement park? Swinging on swings in your favorite park? I'm sure things similar to these were an integral park of your childhood, as they were many of ours. Well, as we get older, doing these things is a much different experience than when you first experienced them as a kid. Different doesn't always mean bad, however.
Have you been to the zoo lately? Yes, we think of it as primarily for kids, and there are lots and lots of strollers; however, if you can make it through the strollers and herds of kids, it's definitely worth a trip. You can reminisce on your times that you stuck your face right up to the glass of the animal exhibits. It's always a good time seeing animals you don't see every day. They're majestic and beautiful. Make it a whole day ordeal and be a kid again! You'll appreciate the zoo much more now that you're older.
What about an amusement park? I know most of us are now too big to ride the kiddie rides, but we can enjoy ourselves on bigger rides made for adults. Not only can we now ride the bigger and more thrilling rides, but we can also still act like a kid. Go get your face painted, get cotton candy bigger than your head, and play carnival games to win stuffed animals that are bigger than you! You can take all sorts of goofy pictures and remember all the fun times you had as a kid. Amusement parks are more fun when you're older.
Now, regular parks. I'm sure you have distinct memories of playing on the playground with your friends at recess or when your parents took you as a treat. Playgrounds were so much fun as a kid, yet, they're somehow more fun when we're older. It's so fun to go with a couple friends and release your inner kid as you run around, acting just like you did when you were little. Whether it's the swings, the teeter-totter, the slide, or the monkey bars, find your favorite area and go nuts!
Even if these things were your favorite memories as a child, one thing is for sure, things are much more fun when you're older. You can still act like a kid, having fun and acting goofy and carefree. Don't think you can't do something just because it's normally reserved for kids or is considered "childish" because you totally can do whatever your little heart desires. Though everything is completely different now versus how it was back when you were a child, it's a new experience that you'll remember for a long time. So, go be a kid again!
