To The Woman I Am In 10 Years

I hope you are sincerely and utterly happy

To The Woman I Am In 10 Years
Kylie Gerber

I hope you have more good days than bad, and that the stresses of life seem small and unimportant. I hope that you wake up with a smile on your face, and that you don’t feel weighed down.

I hope you have learned what it means to put yourself first sometimes, and that it’s okay to be selfish at times. I hope you have learned that you have to take care of yourself first before you can take care of others.

I hope you have learned to love yourself, that you are beautiful in your own way and made in the image of God. I hope you have learned to look past your insecurities and have found that you can put anything you put your mind to.

I hope you have learned how to confront people that hurt you because your happiness is just as important as others.

I hope that you have mastered the art of leaving things in the past, and that they have no place in your present or your future. I hope you have learned how to look past your mistakes, and have moved on from the things that hold you back from your full potential.

I hope that you are ambitious and doing something you love; I hope that you are in a career where it doesn’t matter about the vacation time because it doesn’t need escaping from. I hope that you are making a difference in the world, and can say that you are pursuing your passions.

I hope that you have found a man that makes you incredibly happy, and that you did not settle. I hope that you are madly in love and each day it seems like the first time you met. I hope that together you are on the pursuit of something great.

I hope that you have grown closer to God, and that He is your best friend. I hope that you go to Him in good times and bad, and have found the sincerest peace when in His arms. And I hope that you have found a church that allows you to find God in a new way every Sunday, and has opportunities for you to explore Him on the weekdays.

I hope that you are adventurous and are seeing the world. I hope that money doesn’t hold you back from being free and spontaneous, and that different cultures help create who you are. I hope that you contain a zest for life that no one can take away.

I hope that everyday there is something new you learn, and that you are continually growing in who you are as a woman.

I hope that you are a woman of dignity, passion, and honesty. I hope that you have remained whole in yourself, and that you continually recognize that you are made with a purpose, and are living as so.

I hope you are the kind of woman that I would be proud of.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
