The War On The World

So my question to you is "Where are you?"

The War On The World
The Times In Plain English

Anger, Hatred, bitterness, hurt, confusion. These are all words to describe this lost world. Attacks on Syria, Paris, Kenya, Japan and Orlando and so on. Attacks on our schools. Attacks on our churches. Attacks on African Americans, Latinos, Caucasians. Attacks on Humanity. Natural disasters. Why? Why is this happening to us?These are all questions that ring loudly in people's minds. But the question that rings the loudest, "Where is God now?" The answer to that is, He is where he has always been. Right there through it all.

This may have surprised us, but not God. During these situations, I tend to see a recurring trend. Some of us may pray, some of us may post (insert whatever attack, or disaster is happening). Then, there are some that find ways to attack each other and divide the body of Christ. Now I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with praying and feeling deep empathy for these situations. What I am saying is that there needs to be praying and acting. It is already written "When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.” Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven." I know you may have heard this scripture time after time, and that the world will be coming to an end shortly.

I urge you dear brothers and sisters, don't take these urges lightly. We live in a dark, cold and lost world. Evil runs rampantly across this world. So many have become accustomed to the evil. So many have begun to turn away and blend in. The enemy is very crafty and he has you right where he wants you. We need to act swift and fast. The end is very near. Our near and God's near are two different things. You do not want to be caught up in sin, when the Lord does return. I urge you to turn away from your wicked ways, I urge you to run to God. Not when someone is dying, or these attacks are happening, not just when you need a promotion. He is not your genie! Run to him because you can't make another day without him! Run to him because he loves you earnestly. Run to him because in these last days you will not make it without him. You think these attacks are bad, oh my dear it will surely get worse! This isn't to scare you, but to tell you that time is winding down. Persecution, death, natural disasters all these things are only temporary on this earth. Eternity is at hand, and it's only a heartbeat away.

Hebrews 9:14 "How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" How much longer will you sit there twiddling your thumbs? How much longer will you sit and let your purpose go down the drain? How much longer will you be disobedient to God? How much longer will you sit down on the good news? How much longer? There is a charge on each of our lives to spread the gospel. The true gospel filled with love, conviction and correction. No more praying without acting. No more hatred, no more division of the body of Christ. No more disobedience. No more pursuing sin, but pursuing Christ with everything that we have. There are too many people dying and going to hell. Too many are dying without truly knowing Christ. How much more blood will be on your hands? The war on the world is only beginning, there is so much more! So my question to you is "Where are you?"

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
