Mark 16:15

"Go into the world and preach the good news to all creation"

This verse may just seem to be a normal verse for you, but for me it is a start to a beautiful story of mine. It all starts back where I found God in my heart to begin with. The place I call home. Fort Lone Tree in the beautiful Captain mountains of New Mexico.

It was night time and we were all in our bunk beds reading the memory verse we had to do the next morning around the flag pole before we ate breakfast. My counselor for that years name was Michaela. (amazing girl btw) and she really put it into perspective. We read it off together and for the first time I understood what God meant by telling us we're shepards. For the first time I understood why people risk their lives very single day to spread Gods love. I understood Gods love for me and everyone else.

Which is why this verse is the start to a journey I wasn't expecting to start. I rang the bell that night, which meant you were being saved and were ready to take on an amazing commitment.

That verse was there at the perfect time and perfect place. Fort Lone Tree was and is always gonna be my favorite place on earth. I went a couple years back as a trainee to be a counselor. Sadly , they took the training program away and I can no longer be a trainee. It makes me so sad and makes my heart heavy all the time.

Yet, in March it looked as if I was going to be apart of the staff this summer, and my heart was full of joy that I hadn't felt in a while. I was going to get to serve others the way Christ did, and hopefully be the person who starts a new, and exciting journey of a child's faith. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, that opportunity is no longer in my future this summer. I have been very beat up and upset about this since I've gotten the call. But, I know full well that God has a plan, and I am trusting his process.

Fort Lone Tree is a beautiful place protected by Jesus Christ himself and always will be. The camp has been a major roll in my life and everyone I have met through the fort are people I wanna keep around the rest of my life. The fort helped me find the love of God and made me realize my calling as well.

Mark 16:15

"Go out into all the world and preach the good news to all creation."

The start to a very beautiful story.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
