I feel like I’m at the age when I am trying to figure out everything. With my life in front of me, I am trying to figure out everything in advance. While it’s not bad to plan ahead and gain additional knowledge, it is clearly impossible for a 20 year old to know everything he or she will need to know in life. I am always trying to think ahead for one main reason: the more I learn, the more I realize I have so much more to learn.

In life, if you have a lot money, you posses influence; if you have knowledge that others don’t, you have power. For me, I’ve always been very interested in personal finance. I started investing early, but more importantly, I took an interest in it at a young age. If you’re not interested in something, you probably won’t follow through. If you’re not 100% interested in something, you won’t likely be amazing at it.

I understood that my abilities in the classroom would always be inferior to my peers because I simply never learned well in a classroom. With that in mind, I’ve always thought that if I could develop personal finance skills early at a young age that could help me in the long run as others are late to get started.

I’ve always valued knowledge, but I have never have been a stellar student. My favorite type of knowledge is topics and subjects that I can carry with me for the rest of my life. This is why personal finance, investing and money management are very interesting topics to me. This is also a reason why I have invested so much time, effort and money into getting my real estate license—because I truly love the real estate industry, and I feel that I can increase my knowledge on the industry at a young age and can set myself up for success down the road.

I am far from the smartest person you’ll ever meet, but I value knowledge to the fullest.

I am always looking to learn more as I progress through college and throughout the various chapters of my life. I have always been a believer that knowledge is power and I hope to use that power to be able to have financial freedom to enjoy my life and provide for my family.

I’m always working towards my next accomplishment. With every day there is progress and knowledge and experience follows.

The value of knowledge is simply priceless.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
