Everything good, even the things we speak of as if they're forever, comes to an end at some point of time. More times than not, these things fall apart because better things are on their way. I hope you're brave enough to step out of your comfort zone and allow these better things to come along. Sometimes we become so immune to toxic situations and people, leaving them behind is a terrifying thing. When I graduated middle school with my friends, I was on top of the world. It was the end of an era; we were all ready to start fresh. I had everything figured out, or so I thought. My starting high school marked a new beginning, my transition to adulthood. All of the things I dealt with during the last three years of my life seem so minuscular compared to them now. I know that as I grow up situations will get a lot worse, and you’ll just have to pull through. These emotions and feelings that we went through those years are so much more elevated. They, are in no way any less real then they were in the past, just even larger. We cry so much harder, we laugh so much louder, and we love so much stronger. When I was younger, everything seemed to be the end of the world. Failing a test, getting into arguments with your friends and family, or not making the basketball team seemed so much bigger then they were. Obviously all of us have a lot more maturing to do, but compared to before we handle circumstances differently. I have definitely grown since then; my experiences have shaped me. I know I still have a long way to go, but I’ve come pretty far already. Everything leading up till this moment has made me who I am right now, but everything after will make me who I am forever. High school is a series of test preparing us for the future. Every day is so essential to the rest of our lives. Middle school was a safety net, in which growing up was a fantasy. This, right now is real. We’re almost at forever, and it’s going to be great. Along the way, we’re going to have little tests. Life’s going to knock us down a few times, perhaps more. In the end, however everything will work out the way it should.
