Once you start you can’t stop. You get a taste of living abroad, and suddenly you crave to see the whole world. It’s like a wild fire that sparks from the single desire to go outside of your comfort zone and see something new. Living in the UK has been incredible, especially in the sense that the rest of Europe is just a short flight away.

Once you explore your host city and country, you gain a much larger appreciation for different people, cultures, and places. The places on my bucket list seem endless because the truth is I will never want to stop exploring. I don’t think I will ever feel content in terms of travel, because there is always something new to see, and someone new to meet in every place you go. While the world is undeniably huge, and the travel destinations are almost endless, once you start traveling, you see how easy it is to hop on a plane to another side of the world.

I believe the more you travel, and the more you fly, the easier it becomes to envision seeing new places. When you remain in one place too long, it seems like the rest of the world is forever away. It was not until I came to the UK, and started traveling around on weekends that I saw how amazingly easy it was to travel between different countries.

It still fascinates me that within a single day, you can go from one side of the world to another. I’ve never been the person who felt the need to travel everywhere. I always loved vacations and seeing new places, but I never felt such a strong sense of wanderlust until I came abroad and fell in love with my host city and the rest of Europe.

I don’t want to just see the large cosmopolitan cities, but the small towns of Spain or Italy, the countryside of Ireland, and the Scandinavian coastlines. There is so much beauty in the world, and getting the chance to study abroad has made me forever indebted to seeking out the beauty elsewhere.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
