The Timeless Reality Of Life

Why time shouldn't define your life

The Timeless Reality Of Life

What if we lived in a world that wasn't measured by time? That you lived your life how you wanted it because you weren't worried about when you're last moment was. What would you do then?

Time is an instrument created by man to help understand the changes throughout the day. It was and still is used as a way to guide us through our lives with structure. Time is a measurement that restrains most of us day by day. You live every day awaiting the next 24 hrs you might be given, to do what you want to do, rather than doing it now. Living for the next opportunity instead of taking the chance. Why live in hope of more time, rather than living for the moment?

If you think about it, time is something you can't escape. We have enforced it so much, that your life could be described as a time capsule, dating from the moment you take your first breathe to your last. It is composed of moments in which only some are remembered and others are forgotten as though they never happened. Time is controlling your every move, until the day you no longer have any more it on this earth.

We all know the inevitable. We know that our hour glasses will run out and we will be done with our “time” here. So why live with restraints? Why live with regrets and fear of what will happen if you live your dream? Why are we so scared to fall in love with new things and venture out into new possibilities? Why are we so infatuated with the thought of tomorrow rather than today?

Stop restraining yourself and others of the life you could be living. Stop waiting for the new day to arise, just to not live the life you want once again. Do not continue living in the concept of others and live in your own. Live for however many hours, days, weeks, years, you may have left. Become the you you want to fall in love with. Live your life and love yourself every step of the way.

Time does not define the person you are, it’s what you make of that time that defines who you are. Time is just a concept. You are in control of your decisions. Make the right one for you and live it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
