Introducing: Things that make life great (at least in Marissa McCormick’s eyes): Part 2:

51. Brand new spiral notebooks

52. "Bob’s Burgers"

53. Making up after fighting

54. The bread/chips and salsa that comes before a meal. I have to be careful with these, however, because I usually end up eating way too much bread or salsa and don’t have enough room for my actual meal

55. “I think I have a little bit of room for dessert”

56. The smell of bookstores

57. Perfectly transitioning from day-drinking to night-drinking. This has happened maybe once in my life and it was glorious. I usually end up taking a nap after day-drinking and waking up at 1 am.

58. Waking up without a hangover, branching off of 57.

59. Paper fortune-tellers you made in elementary school

60. Siblings

61. "Lord of the Rings" anything

62. Perfectly stretched out hair ties. Girls, you know what I’m talking about. Or maybe boys, if you’re pulling off a man bun

63. Running through hotel hallways

64. Flipping back to a channel as soon as the commercial break ends

65. Underdogs winning

66. Finally unpacking (As I’m writing this I’m looking at my suitcase sitting in the corner of my room still not unpacked. I got home two weeks ago.)

67. The squeezes in the middle of hugs

68. Stopping at an even dollar while filling up your gas tank

69. Making sexual innuendo jokes

70. Homemade cannoli’s

71. The first sip of champagne

72, Explaining pop culture trends to anyone over the age of 70

73. Movie scores

74. Putting on glasses just after you cleaned them

75. Panera mac and cheese

76. Forehead kisses. I hate to be a stereotypical girl, but there really isn’t anything better. Guys, If you want to make a girl melt, kiss them on their forehead.

77. Icicle Christmas lights

78. Watching someone trip, but only if they too are laughing at themselves.

79. Lying down in grass

80. Cold beer on a hot beach

81. Those cheesy romance books that you can read in two and a half hours

82. Albums that get better with time

83. Bruce Springsteen

84. Jokes so bad, they’re good. (What do you call a bear with no teeth? A gummy bear)

85. That moment you realize you're over someone

86. Hitting 10,000 steps87. Being on a boat in the middle of lake

88. Pizza for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

89. When something you ordered online actually fits

90. Taking out your contacts, taking off your bra, and taking your hair out of a ponytail.

91. Pats on the back (both literally and figuratively)

92. Making someone who’s crying laugh

93. Guitar solos

94. Talking to your parents about their younger years

95. When your card doesn’t get declined even though you know you’re cutting it very very close.

96. Trivia nights

97. Expertly written novels that make you want to praise the people that wrote them

98. When someone you don’t think knows your name actually does

99. Successfully dodging eye-contact with someone you didn’t want to see

100. Smiles that are so big they make your cheeks hurt

I still have a lot to learn in my life. There’s going to be ups and downs, rock bottoms, best days, and worst days. But I think this list helps me keep everything in perspective. Sure I didn’t get that job I interviewed for, but I have this screenshot of my best friend with three double chins that I can’t wait to post on some form of social media.

I like to consider myself optimistic, and this list gets me there. That glass is half full no matter how you look at it my friend, and if it’s not, you should make a list until it is.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
