The Struggle of Registering for Classes as Told by Parks and Recreation
Her Campus

It's November and that means it is advisement month for many young, college students! Planning your classes and registering can be a huge pain and struggle because it is the end of the year and you're already thinking about next semester. New students are confused on how and where to register, returning students just want to get it over with, and seniors are praying they get the classes they need to graduate on time. Basically, everyone is on edge and the end is near.

1) Freshmen and transfer students as they try to figure out the school's website:

It will be okay, we promise! *student body screams in sync*

2) While, returning students are like:

Two minutes and we're out.

3) Don't forget, you have to meet with your adviser before you can register!

We already know what we want to take, what requirement that fills, and how many hours we are taking. Please just let me leave and life of crying and exhaustion.

4) You devise a plan so you are able to register for classes/ get the classes you need/ etc.

\

1) Get off campus so the internet doesn't crash

2) Have the school's website open before it's time.

3) Refresh. Refresh. Refresh.

5) When you realize you have an account balance:

6) When a class has no more open seats:

7) The internet has crashed and your life is over.

You'll just have to wait. *internal screams*

8) When you realize the two classes you want or need are in the same time slot

Someone wants to see the world burn.

9) When you get that class you need (!!!)

Proceed to dance in your room. Fully clothed or not.

10) When the deed is done:

11) Celebrate the registration of another year!

One more year of registration down, means we're one semester closer to finishing college! Cheers!

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
