Do you need toilet paper? A cute dress? Make-up? Notebooks? You need it, Target has it. Every time I go, like all other shoppers, I leave spending way more than I wanted to and without the item I originally went into the store for. Typical, right? Target is similar to a black hole and every time you go, it's a mix of happiness and struggle. A mix that I've happily broken down into stages for all of the Target strugglers out there that are just like me.
1. Driving To Target.
The drive to Target is the time you have to collect your thoughts and decide what you actually need to get at Target. You tell yourself that you are getting the shampoo you need and getting out. No funny business. It's an exciting and terrifying ride, all in one!
2. The Walk In.
Walking into Target immediately relieves all the stress and everything from the real world. It's an exciting feeling, and you instantly forget about the game plan in the car. It's like magic.
3. Browsing.
Easily the most dangerous part of Target. And also the time where you can walk around for two hours and blow your entire paycheck twice. That dress is just too cute, and you can easily find a purpose for that cute trash can.
4. The cash-out line.
You see the price rising more and more, and your wallet starts to cry. You hand the cashier your card and take all your bags. That's okay, that top was worth the extra hours this week.
5. Regret.
You get home and take out everything you bought, quickly realizing that you forgot the item that you needed most.
6. Acceptance.
But it's totally okay. You'll most likely go back tomorrow anyways, so now you just have a reason to!
Happy Shopping!
