Have you ever looked a recent selfie and thought to yourself, "Wow, I look a little bit chunky?" I know I have and after we go through the realization part of it, we start realizing that we have to do something about it. That's where dieting comes in. Let's discuss the stages we all go through, shall we?
1. The realization
This can be the most painful stage. Realizing you have to get healthy and that you need to take control of your weight. Maybe you cry a little, maybe you scream at a wall. That's when the next step kicks in.
2. Making "the plan"
Now that you've figured out that you're a little round, you have to make a plan on how to get rid of it. You'll probably do some internet searching about different kinds of diets and you might even come up with your own.
3. First day at the gym
Your first day at the gym doesn't go well. You start to realize that if you only take in 50 calories a day, you don't have energy for the gym. So, the only thing you can possibly do is quit going, obviously?
4. No one can stop you from cheating on your diet
Now comes the time when you're about a week into your diet and you really just want a big, greasy slice of pizza. So you do it. Nobody can stop you from eating it. It doesn't matter who is going to judge you or be disappointed, you're eating. Your mind is set.
5. INSTANT regret
Here it comes. The mental breakdown. You ate something over 50 calories, what could you possibly do?
6. Screw it, I'll go back to the gym tomorrow
Since you ate that piece of pizza, you have to work out EXTRA hard.
7. Tomorrow never comes...
I'll do it tomorrow. I'll do it the next day, I swear. FORGET IT, I'LL JUST BE FAT!
