Packing is easily everyone's least favorite part of planning a vacation. You can never fit everything you want into your tiny suitcase no matter how hard you try. There are usually 7 stages of packing everyone goes through, and these are usually the thoughts that go through your head.
1. Thinking about packing
You just booked your trip to some super exotic location and you can't wait. You dread the thought of packing and since you have 2 whole weeks to pack, you don't even worry about it.
2. Procrastinating
You've successfully spent everyday binge watching Netflix or simply staring at all of the clothes in your closet. You keep pushing packing back and back until the day before you leave.
3. Realizing you leave in a day
You wake up and check your phone and see it's Friday. You drop your phone and spring out of bed and run to your closet to grab your suitcase. "Why did I wait until the day before to pack. I will never do this to myself again".
4. Freak out
You've spent the past 3 hours not even packing, just screaming and complaining about packing. You have cried 4 times and don't know how you are going to leave tomorrow.
5. Giving up
This is it. You can't go. You text all your friends and tell them you can't come because you're simply not ready. They tell you that you're being too ~dramatic~ but they are really just the crazy ones.
6. Trying to fit it all in your suitcase
You decided maybe you were slightly overreacting and decided to just pack everything you own. You put everything in your suitcase and realize it towers 3 feet over how high it should be. You sit on it in every different angle possible trying your hardest to zip it shut. You finally figure out how to fit it all in barely.
7. Relief
You feel on top of the world and tell all your friends the trip is back on! Your heart is racing and you feel relieved. You spend the next hour daydreaming about how nice the beach is going to be on your vacation!
And even though you swear to never do this to yourself again, you end up doing it every. single. time.
