The reason behind a business’s failure can be the internal problems in the workplace

Employees handle an undeniable proportion of work and directly affect the business's success. An employee's mental condition can spread in the office and positively or negatively affect the ambience. Fairly, employees want to be valued. On the other hand, mobbing is an undeniable reality in every business environment. Mobbing can be in different forms. Disrespecting the worker's rights, appointing them to unnecessarily long shifts, loading heavy work, and failing to sustain physical and mental safety in the workplace is surely against the tort laws.

Taking successful businesses as a reference, the importance of business-employee relations is undeniable. Many firms that are pioneering their industries have established strong relationships with their employees that can even advocate and promote the brand and generate a positive atmosphere in the office. Whilst this is a win-win situation, the opposite can be a lose-lose one. However, the loss of the business is to be greater than the worker's as a worker can continue to perform his/her profession but the laws can heavily punish the negligent employer for wrongful actions.

Lack of workplace safety is to be punished by the laws

Safety regulations are issued and followed by the authorities and exceptions are never tolerated. Safety should be wholly and continuously provided in the workplace. Whilst providing safety is important, sustaining it is as important. The laws that are in compliance with workplace safety are extensive and cover a large area of work environments. From the physical condition of the worker to mental, the worker's health and safety should be provided and sustained.

Employee safety and health

The primary duty of business owners is internal safety and the continuity of it. A business that is established by enormous efforts and intense care may not be able to achieve financial success without fulfilling the compulsory safety requirements. When it comes to safety precautions, the laws are strict. Workplaces are required to be inspected regularly and the risk factors, as well as the stressors, should be assessed and action should be taken immediately to eliminate them. Business owners owe the duty of care to their employees and to the customers/clients. This means, delaying your duties or failing to perform them as required may conduce to legal problems. Workers that are injured or contracted a disease may be eligible to sue the company to recover their loss.

Even if the intention of the business is not to ignore employee's safety, the personal injury laws and their benefits are still accessible by the party that sustains a loss. Which can intensely interrupt the financial plans of the business and prohibit the business from reaching success.

Hazards are mostly obvious but disregarded by the business owners

Work equipment is usually expensive and even the provision process of this equipment can take some time. However, ignoring the striking reality of work accidents conduces to greater losses for businesses. Upon an accident, a long and potentially expensive court process may be awaiting the business. On the other hand, the victim's condition can be severe and heart-wrenching. Having an understanding of trades and management is not sufficient to be a successful boss. As your employees compose the fundamentals of your business, their mental and physical health should be guaranteed. Continuously working under risky conditions, working more than what the human body can resist, working without sufficient protective equipment and with outdated equipment increases the chances of work accidents. In this case, the laws are just and compensate the loss of the victim whilst penalising the negligent business owner.

Since March, Covid-19 required most of the world to quarantine in their homes. Majority of people ended up working from home for nearly five months. If there's one thing I'm absolutely terrible at, it's giving myself grace. I'm easily my own worst critic in almost everything that I do. I'm a raging perfectionist, and I have unrealistic expectations for myself at times. I can remember simple errors I made years ago, and I still hold on to them. The biggest thing I'm trying to work on is giving myself grace. I've realized that when I don't give myself grace, I miss out on being human. Even more so, I've realized that in order to give grace to others, I need to learn how to give grace to myself, too. So often, we let perfection dominate our lives without even realizing it. I've decided to change that in my own life, and I hope you'll consider doing that, too. Grace begins with a simple awareness of who we are and who we're becoming. As you read through these five affirmations and ways to give yourself grace, I hope you'll take them in. Read them. Write them down. Think about them. Most of all, I hope you'll use them to encourage yourself and realize that you are never alone and you always have the power to change your story.
