Between the two political parties, there were many candidates who tried to run in the 2016 Presidential Election, and I took the time to sort them out for you.

Hufflepuff:

This yellow and black house values hard work, patience, justice and loyalty. Usually known as "the leftovers," Hufflepuffs are usually picked on the most. Yet, some of the bravest characters, like Cedric Digory, come from Hufflepuff.

1. Jeb Bush

Jeb is a Hufflepuff all the way. With Hufflepuff as the most inclusive and hardworking house, how could Jeb be anything but?

2. John Kasich

John Kasich is the type to stay away from all of the drama that the Republican Party brings. Hufflepuffs are also loyal, which Kasich proves to be after hanging in the presidential race the longest out of all of the other candidates running against Trump.

Ravenclaw:

This house values intelligence, knowledge, and wit. Some of the strangest, yet smartest characters come from this house, like Luna Lovegood. Intelligence is so important to the Ravenclaws that a riddle must be solved to even enter the common room.

1. Ben Carson

Ravenclaws are considered wise and witty... I mean, he's a neurosurgeon. If that doesn't scream Ravenclaw, I don't know what does.

2. Carly Fiorina

Carly Fiorina is a technology executive who has worked her way up. She has a long list of accomplishments that just illustrate Ravenclaw traits.

Gryffindor:

This famous house values bravery, daring, nerve, and chivalry. Some of the most well-known characters come from this house, like Harry, Ron, and Hermione. If anything, these characters prove that bravery comes in many different forms, just like these presidential candidates.

1. Marco Rubio

Rubio is obviously filled with pride in America and in himself. Despite not polling as high as other candidates, he was still proud of his own numbers.

2. Bernie Sanders

Bernie Sanders is a socialist running against Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nominee. That takes some bravery. Also, he looks like Dumbledore, and we know he favors the Gryffindors.

Slytherin:

This house values ambition, cunning, and resourcefulness. It is known as the house that cultivates evil, like Tom Riddle and Draco Malfoy. But above anything else, these characters will not give up until they just can't take anything more, just like these candidates.

1. Ted Cruz:

Despite the obvious similarities between Ted Cruz, and Kevin from "The Office," Cruz is hardworking and sneaky. He doesn't even go here. He was born in Canada.

2. Hillary Clinton:

Hillary Clinton has more scandals than any other candidate, and it's obvious that the American population has trust issues with her. Because of this, she is an obvious Slytherin.

Last but not least, Donald Trump:

He doesn't go to Hogwarts. He dropped out to be a death eater.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
