My friend and I were talking the other week about how life consuming college and work are. After going to classes for a day and mixing in a couple hours at work, by the time you get home you're exhausted. All you want to do is relax but you have to make dinner, clean, or dive straight into a pile of homework. Before you know it, it's time to lay you head down, but you haven't done anything that necessarily brings you a sense of joy. There's no time to fit in those hobbies that make you relax without feeling like you're pushing work off.

I'd never been someone to listen to podcasts. I considered reading audio books, but never took that leap either. However, I was very interested in finding something that could keep my attention and entertain me. There are plenty out there to pick from, but when I found out that Kelsey Darragh and Kate Peterman of Buzzfeed created a podcast, I knew I had to listen to it. Kelsey has been one of my favorite people to watch on Buzzfeed vidoes for a very long time, and Kate is one of the most talented writers that they have.

I hit play, and I've not been able to turn back from it.

AdultSh1t is a weekly podcast that tackles...well, pretty much everything. Darragh and Peterman are a hilarious, authentic duo that cover topics ranging from finding happiness, relationship advice, sex, and mental health.

The fact that they're both a riot makes tackling the serious issues easier. This isn't a podcast where two women preach to you about what you should do. It isn't a podcast that's riddled with constant seriousness. It's a podcast that makes you feel like you're talking to your best friends. They have a healthy dose of raunchy humor while still keeping a very real perspective on issues. They offer advice for the situations they've struggled with, and it's a great insight to get.

Another thing that makes this podcast so bona fide is that they talk about their own personal experiences. They tell you stories that you would here everyday, normal people talk about. These two have genuine experiences with anxiety and mental health. Sure, the advice might not work for everyone but they acknowledge that.

Plus, they bring some pretty cool guests on the show every now and then.

Now, I listen to it every time I clean, do laundry, walk to class, or I'm just trying to wind down at the end of the night.
