If you haven't already heard of the Eminem and Nick Cannon beef, the decade-long feud began with Cannon's ex-wife, Mariah Carey and each of the artists writing diss lyrics back and forth. Eminem claims he has dated Mariah Carey, but Mariah denies all questions of their relationship, claiming Eminem is "obsessed" with her. More recently, Nick Cannon released a "diss" track inviting Eminem to rap battle him, but it doesn't quite measure up to Eminem's rapping skills (does it even slightly compare?!)
The song starts out with Cannon claiming "Eminem is a b*tch," a rather ambitious accusation for someone who's career started on a teen show for Nickelodeon. Cannon calls out Eminem's daughter Hailie by name, in an attempt to really make the rap battle personal, but I know Eminem will come back with double the force, he just can't help himself when his daughter is involved. He also taunts Eminem for his ex-wife, Kim and his brother's daughter, Alaina Mathers with the only actual diss on the entire track, "Call Kim, somebody get Hailie and that other kid you're raising, that ain't even your baby."
If you haven't seen Nick Cannon's "The Invitation" video, check it out here:
All I have to say is; did he even see Eminem's reply to Machine Gun Kelly's diss track?! It's been proven time after time that Eminem has a legend status and will destroy anyone who challenges him. Cannon gives Em a few good jabs here and there, but honestly nothing notable. While it's obvious that Nick Cannon is doing this as a publicity stunt to get more viewers on "Wild N Out," I'm excited to see Eminem officially destroy Nick Cannon's whole career in a two-minute rap battle.
The two were going back and forth at each other through Twitter... and it gets pretty nasty, with Nick Cannon making homophobic jokes towards Eminem (a super low blow):
Fuck Apologies! Pull Up!! Bring your gardener, chauffeur, your male nurse and whoever else you’re fucking!!🤣 https://t.co/576yS7vhZX— Nick Cannon (@Nick Cannon) 1575949382.0
Nick Cannon continues to pull Eminem's strings and antagonize the rap god to come on his show:
Only a few hours left Marshall....💣 https://t.co/ypGRa5SQLC— Nick Cannon (@Nick Cannon) 1575943713.0
50 Cent's response on Instagram defending Eminem sums it all up:
Eminem IS a different kind of animal, and I pray for anyone who thinks they can challenge him. Nick Cannon, you need to sit down and go back to Nickelodeon.
