The One Who Clicked

Even from miles away, you make me smile every day.

The One Who Clicked
Mandy Jadick

I know I've written about online friends before, and all of mine mean the absolute world to me and I have no idea what I'd do without them. But sometimes, you meet someone you just happen to click with a little faster, a little more. Someone who gets you and doesn't judge you for anything. Someone who accepts your quirks and craziness over the little things. Someone who not only accepts them but goes crazy over the little things with you. And without the Internet, I wouldn't have met one of my favorite people in the world, my Libra twin, and one of the most incredible people in my life. So this is to say thank you.

First off, I want to thank you for letting me in, for trusting me. Right from the start after our bonding over sports and why your roommate got banana pudding at a basketball game, you trusted me enough to tell me about your life, to reach out at two in the morning when you needed someone to talk to. I hope I was able to help in some small way from so many miles away. And never forget that I'm always here.

Thank you for being my confidant, no matter what the situation. Thank you for the being the best listener in the world when you needed to be but also knowing the times that I needed to hear the brutal truth. Thank you for knowing when to change the subject or when to actually make me tell you what's wrong. Thank you for being there at the darkest hours of the night with your "that's what she said" comments that I should've seen coming (insert comment here). Thank you for never judging me, even when I make a questionable decision, and thank you for supporting me in everything I do. Words can't describe how much that means to me.

Thank you for your inspirational posts and thank you for being an inspiration yourself, for being someone so strong who I have nothing but faith in. I'm so incredibly proud of you. Thank you for being there with open arms every time we get to meet. You give some of the best and warmest hugs.

Thank you being a beautiful person inside and out. I know I've said this before, but it truly is a better place since you came along. As soon as you, Keri, and I figure out how to make this tape and glitter teleportation device, you better believe I would be there in a second. I truly don't know what I'd do without you. "I pour my heart into your hands, it's like you really understand, you love the way I am." Thank you for letting me be myself, my crazy, anxious, hyper self. I love you to the moon and back, Jupiter and back, Pluto and back, more than words can describe.

Thank you for being wonderful you.

Love,

Mandy

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
