The Nashville Knack: Paulina Jayne Take II
Jesse Wilder

Paulina Jayne’s release of her newest self titled EP is an effort to showcase the full ability of her songwriting skills, life’s story, and influence on culture to see the importance of storytelling through music. I previously covered her story of how she stumbled upon her ever growing music career. Since then Paulina has climbed the charts.

Nashville is saturated with country music artists trying to make the next big cut, and in order to even qualify for a record deal, you have to be extraordinary. Paulina takes that qualification to the next level, literally. She received membership from the CMA Association this month

Not only does her music standout, her passion for storytelling in her music captures the minds of listeners everywhere. This girl from Detroit can perform like no other. She moves and dances around the stage like no other. You can feel the passion of every lyric as she sings soulfully during each song.

Paulina captures that spirit even more in her latest album. She pushed the meaning of her latest piece of art through her new music video “Love’s Gonna Always Wins.” The music encapsulates the rash nature of society through videos of violence, hatred, and other acts that are overlapped by a push to let love and peace in despite the actions that inflict fear and distrust in our lives. This is the perfect rendition of how we should be living out lives. The title alone gives away that no matter how much hate there is in the world, love will always win.

Take this to heart as you listen to Paulina Jayne’s newest album. Spread the love to your friends, family and everyone else you may see. The truth of the matter is that you do not know what someone else is going through until you talk to them. “Never believe that a few caring people can't change the world. For, indeed, that's all who ever have. “-Margaret Mead

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
