When one thinks of some the greatest drummers in history, a few people come to mind. Travis Barker, Ringo Star and Terry Bozzio should be a few names on that list, but there is a new kid on the block taking over the music scene, and his name is Drew Scheurer.

Who is Drew Scheuer and why should he be considered as one of the greatest drummers of all time? Let's begin with his ambitious beginnings in Pegram, Tennessee. Growing up, Drew was influence by his parents and their personality types. His dad, a videographer for ABC in Nashville, was a creative type. His mom, a former radio host and a current project manager, guided the business mindset of Drew into its fullest potential.

Drew picked up drums at a young age, and practiced as often as possible whether it was in pep band, his high school garage band, or on his rubber pad on the couch at home. All of his was put into becoming the best drummer possible. The drive that Drew had brought him down some amazing roads.

After high school Drew made his deposit to be a student at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, but he was offered a position to go on tour with a few country music artists that gave him a taste of life on the road, but ultimately led him to a more permanent position with the band Dinner and a Suit.

Drew was with the band for three years touring across the world gaining unforgettable experiences along the way. After the band broke up, Drew continued drumming with some really cool acts including rePercussion, a similar rendition to Stomp, who toured in Dubai in 2015, and most recently Abi Ann, a country music artist from Texas.

Abi Ann toured with recently with Us The Duo and The Pentatonix, which was a life changing experience for Drew becoming a big part of Abi's band, making some cool friends on the road, and playing in places that most of us dream of seeing one day.

Some of the coolest parts of being a drummer on tour with so many great acts has built up Drew's knowledge of what creates success in the music in the industry. When asked what tips he has for drummers trying to make their way into the professional side of the industry he replied with "Continue going after your goals and dreams, hard work pays off and never stopping pursuing and growing your interests."

Drew Scheuer is one of the most phenomenal drummers in the industry to date from starting off playing on a rubber pad to prove his love for drumming to playing small bands all the way up the ladder to greatness. This is not where the ladder ends for Drew, as he has many years of growth, tours, and so many stories left to experience. Be sure to keep up with Drew on his Facebook!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
