No matter what, I know that she will always be there for me. She understands all of your troubles and will always give you the best advice to overcome them. She will always be there to fall back on.

Pro-tip for the younger sister: Always ask before wearing. Don't make the mistake of taking something without asking because she will yell. Sharing clothes, shoes, and jewelry is one of the tiny perks of having an older sister.

She gave me fashion, movie, and music sense

Growing up, I was the tomboy. Eventually, when I decided to take advice from my sister, she gave me fashion sense. Guess who's the best dressed in the room now? She has showed me some of my favorite music artists as well as some of my favorite television shows. It also makes sleepovers a lot easier. We either watch The Office or a documentary.

She will keep it real with you.

Sometimes, she has to be the villain so I can hear the ugly truth even when I don't want to. She will never lie to protect me from my own feelings.

Her home is always open. 

Even when we grew up and moved away from one another, her home is always going to be my home as well. She is always going to open her doors to me if I need her to. I'll always find comfort in her.

She gave me advice that pertained to the real world.

Whether it was for applying to colleges or getting a job, she was always there to prepare me and make me aware of what I was getting myself into.

She always covered for you.

Had too much to drink at that party? Call your older sister. She will come to the rescue even if she is in bed with sun poisoning.

Being the older sister, the blame was always put on her but she dealt with it a lot better than I would've.

She is your lifetime travel buddy?

She will always agree to a getaway with her younger sister. The younger sister always has more fun anyway. Why not be apart of it?
