A Letter To My Mentor, The Mayor
Lucas Taylor

The past five years have been the greatest of my life. There are countless memories to look back on, full of laughs, smiles and even tears. I have met so many people, more than I care to count. A few of those people, changed my life. However, maybe the one that changed me the most, maybe the person I am most proud to say changed me, is my boss, no, my friend Lucas Taylor.

Lucas, thank you for everything. Over the past five years, you have been a Cornerstone to my success. Before you, I never really knew what it was like to have a truly positive male influence in my life. I wouldn't be the man I am today without you. You lead and taught by example. I learned how to be professional and how to conduct myself around people. You even taught me how to not be on time. I admire many things about you Lucas, the things you do for Keystone College and it's students are truly under appreciated. You're the go-to guy, the guy who is always willing to pick up the slack. The guy that is willing to stay long past five o'clock to get work done and be a positive face for the student body. Your personality is a staple here, people gravitate toward you, they want to associated with you and I was no different.

I have been lucky enough to be associated with you. I have been lucky enough to call you my friend. We've had a lot of great times. Like that time when we scared the hell out of the lady in the lobby of the Hyatt in Arlington, Virginia! Or when I went on a rollercoaster for the first time and had to try not to cry. You have been there through it all, I consider you my greatest role model.

Thank you for the opportunity to grow and lead, thank you for looking past the four wheels around my waist and treating me as well as anyone could.

Most of the time, all I wanted to do was make you proud, I hope I did that. I hope that I had an impact on your life, like you did on mine. I don't know where life is going to take me next, I don't know how successful I'm going to be in the future. But, everyday I'm going to continue to strive for greatness and as I do, I'm going to keep the things you taught me in mind. Lucas, I love you. Until we meet again, ciao for now.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
