When I first got to college, I was so excited about getting involved, going to class, and having the time of my life. Of course, I did not know what I was getting myself into until all these things came true. Once I got involved, started working, and going to class, I found myself always on the run. I am now busy more than ever and sometimes I think that I cannot do it, but I remember that if I want something for myself, I need to go get it. Here are some true concepts that goes on in the life of a busy college student.

1. “Sleeping in” is an unknown term


2. You always have something to do

3. You have so much to keep track of

4. You barely have time for yourself

5. You are basically one person living in three different environments

6. You don’t have time for nonsense

7. You forget to text people back.

8.Your friends ask you to go out, and you hope they are kidding.

9. You feel like all you do is go to class, attend meetings, and work.

10. You always deserve a nap, but can’t take one because you have so much to do.

11. You despise people who do way more than you and still seem to have their life

12. You look forward to the weekend so you can sleep.

13. But then realize you have to do community service for your club.

14. 10 p.m. or earlier is your bed time and everyone must know that.

15. Your parents know what is going on in the world more than you do.

16. When you do have time for yourself… wait what’s that?

17. There’s always an issue going on that you must fix.

18. Eventually you take a nap and you will not take another one until the week before Thanksgiving break.

19. You start to question why you even do the things that you do.

20. But you know that you just can't stop now.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
