Positive energy is essential. Win more.
Over the past several weeks I've noticed a trend that is highly contagious; negativity.
We can't have that.
Let me discuss this negativity that I am witnessing lately. It starts with bad moods, doubt, lashing out at others, and just having a generally horrible attitude about everything. People nowadays have such horrible attitudes. Your daily attitude is what will define you. It's a mindset. You have to wake up each and every day and tell yourself how great your day is going to be. You need to believe that. You need to immediately clear your mind of any doubt, of any negativity. You simply cannot have a good day if you yourself do not believe it will be! And that's where it begins, with a constant mindset.
But it goes beyond that. You need to train yourself to work WITH that mindset. Everyone has goals, tasks, and their idea of happiness. In order to achieve your dreams, to be a productive and influential member of society, you need to take steps in the direction of success.
Step 1). Mindset = Positive
Step 2). Wins
I have this new theory that I have been testing out with myself before I decided to discuss it on this platform. It sounds like a DJ Khaled snap story, and in all honesty, it kind of is, but there's a method to what I have been doing. The key (pun intended) is to win. The key is to win, and win more. In order to achieve success and happiness, you need to win.
What I have been doing in regards for this theory is simple; get 1 win EVERY DAY.
Now for each person, 'winning' is different. So in order to apply this theory to your own life, you need to evaluate what a win is for you. For me, it can be simple things, work a full day, go for a run, go to the gym, prep a lunch for the next day. Or it can be more productive, such as writing my weekly Odyssey article, signing up for classes, organizing a discussion for AGM, or getting a haircut even. Sometimes it's great when I win on a larger scale, such as buying a car, having a meeting about a future business endeavor, or working on the book I'm writing.
You need to figure out what is a win for you. I keep a task list in my phone labeled "Upcoming Win Schedule" because as I check any of the items off, I can classify it as a win.
Each day I try to get at bare minimum, one win. Sometimes I can achieve more, and have two, three, four, five, maybe six wins in a day, maximizing my productivity. But over the past few weeks, as I have been focusing my attention on getting at least one solid win each day, I've noticed something to conclude my hypothesis; I'm happier. I have an active running list of all the wins I have for the week, and look at tasks as not just that, but a chance to better myself and progress (see where the mindset ideal ties back in). I've found when you focus on the thing(s) you have accomplished today, it's harder to get down on yourself, harder to become discouraged and frustrated, and easier to envision a brighter future. Hang your hat on the good aspects, instead of dwelling on the bad.
One win. Every day.
Think about it like this; if you are winning every single day, you can't lose. Make your number of wins outweigh your losses. Stay winning, never lose.
