That beautiful think that every living think needs - sleep. If you're tired, take an extra hour to close your eyes because it may benefit you more than you think. Sometimes more sleep over activity will be more useful than overworking yourself. There are many obvious benefits of sleep, and it is important to ensure an average of eight hours of sleep per night. It will benefit your life more than you that extra hour of studying.

1. Sleep improves memory.

While you're sleeping, your mind is still actively racing. You perform better after you sleep because your mind is trying to remember what you did that day and practices it while you are asleep. This is why getting sleep before a test is better than pulling an all nighter

2. Sleep improves attention.

After a good night sleep, you wake up feeling energized and your attention will improve greatly. It's easier to pay attention and focus on a task when you are awake and alert. Your brain works harder when trying to focus while tired.

3. Sleep helps maintain a healthy weight.

A main part of keeping a healthy weight is simply getting enough sleep each night. When you wake up after a good night sleep, your body functions are well rested and act properly. Your metabolism needs enough rest during the night in order to work efficiently the next day. The less you get, the slower your metabolism is and the hungrier you feel. Just getting a good night sleep will help you keep a healthy weight.

4. Sleep lowers stress.

Whether you are a college student or not, you know how stressful life can get. When you are sleep deprived, all of your emotions are elevated and you are more stress inclined. Sleep lowers stress because your mind is working properly and you are productive. Being stressed and tired is not a good combo so get your sleep.

5. Sleep builds a stronger immune system.

Sleep is a major factor in the strength of your immune system. The less sleep you get, the more inclined of getting you are of getting sick. Your immune system does not have the chance to recover if it does not get enough rest. When you are tired, your body needs to work harder to perform the same functions.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
