To The Husband That I'm Praying For

Even though I don't know who you are, I'm still praying for you.

To The Husband That I'm Praying For

Ever since I was a little girl, I've been dreaming about you. It began with me imagining our glamorous wedding. Then, I started to plan how our life will be and sometimes I even think about what your name could possibly be. I can’t wait until I know who you are. One day, I’ll get to sit down with you, and tell you about all the headaches, heartbreaks, and frustration it took for me to finally find you. I am thankful for those unpleasant situations, simply because it led me to you. I haven’t met you yet, you’re always on my mind and I pray for you every single day.

I pray for you to have great health.

I pray for you to rise above the temptations.

I want you to always do the right things. Please do not do things in spite of anger. I hope that you think carefully before making decisions.

I pray you get home safe every night.

I pray you’re being the man God wants you to be. There is no need to conform to societal norms.

I pray you do not hold grudges because that only hurts you.

I pray that you put your family first. They are all that you have and I’m sure they love you.

I pray you work hard and accomplish all of your goals. I promise to always be your biggest supporter.

I pray that you’re a humble person. Treat everyone with respect, and give graciously.

I pray that your days are productive.

I pray you’re working at a job that you love, and if you’re still in college, I pray that you’re majoring in something that you’re passionate about.

I pray that you’ll set a perfect example for our children. Please lead them and show them that the love we have for each other and for God is amazing.

I pray that we will love each other unconditionally. I want our love to be pure. I want a "1 Corinthians 13" love.

I pray that we grow very old together.

I pray that you do not feel the need to impress me with materialistic items. Believe me, I will love anything the man I’m spending the rest of my life with buys me.

I pray that you love my family, and they love you.

I pray that you treat me the way I deserve to be treated.

I want you to be the best husband you can be. I want you to be my biggest supporter and a provider for me and our future children. We’re going to church every Sunday and we are going to pray together daily. For now, all I can do is continue to pray for you and wait for God’s timing. God’s timing is the best and He knows what He is doing. He’s busy writing our love story. Just know that I will love you unconditionally and will be the best wife I can be.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
