Senior year, a year full of lasts.
Never did I imagine that I would gain a newbest friend.
Shortly following our newly discovered friendship, we become so close. Sharing songs and quotes with each other. Going to movies, and getting Taco Bell together. It was like we had been friends for years.
Boy drama, work drama, school drama, we shared it all.
We helped each other through it all.
Loss, sickness, all of our struggles, not only were ours but each other's.
Late nights and lunches full of studying and quizzing each other for Anatomy class. Giving each other our AP Literature homework, and updating each other on the novels we were reading.
National Honor Society meetings and activities spent together.
We were around each other so much, and we never realized it until senior year.
I gained the best friend I could ever ask for my senior year of high school.
Yes, it was late and unexpected but I would not want it any other way.
While it was late and unexpected, it was just what I needed. Senior year would not have been the same without her.
Not only did I gain a best friend, but I also gained a second family.
Her family has always welcomed me with open arms. I have spent nights talking to her parents and had dinner with the entire family. I have gone over to her grandma's while she watered the plants and fed the cats.
Our lives were intertwined in just a year.
I went to pom competitions and supported her, and snapped pictures as she performed.
We spent nights at Applebee's, Meijer and sometimes just driving.
This girl, who had always had a locker right down the hall, and went to school with me for the past four years, I discovered was my best friend.
Thank you, Megan Rose, for being my go--to. Thank you for being my person. Thank you for never judging me, and always giving me just the right advice I need. Thank you for being my co-worker, classmate, and best friend. Thank you for coming into my life right when I need you to.
Thank you for being the Megs to my Mads.
Love you long time.
