Ever been to a concert and get stuck in the back? Or do you go to concerts that only have assigned seating? Maybe you don't like crowds or just want to sit and relax, listening to the music. However, you're missing an amazing opportunity when you skip the front and head towards the back.
The energy.
There is a certain electric energy that comes from standing front row at a concert. You obviously paid for your ticket so you know that you like who's playing. Yes, everyone stands too close for comfort but that, coupled with the booming of the music, is exhilarating.
The comradery.
There is a certain bond to be had when standing outside of the venue for hours at a time with other people, like you, who want to be at the front. They can be people from all walks of life, with some amazing concert experiences to share. You'll laugh, you'll make momentary friends, and you'll have someone to turn to in the middle of the concert and say "isn't this f***ing awesome?!" You can't get that sitting in a seat or waiting at the end of a long line just to get in.
Interaction with the entertainment.
This is by far my favorite part of being in the front row. The front row allows you access to the person running the show! They'll high five you, fist bump you, throw guitar picks for you to catch, etc. Who doesn't want to be looked in the eye and sung to by their favorite artist? If you don't, then you clearly don't like them that much. It's an interaction that you'll never get sitting in the back.
You don't miss a thing.
You know that YouTube video you saw of your favorite singer signing something and throwing it out to the crowd? Or maybe he tripped on stage and made a joke about it? You miss ALL of that from sitting in the back or in a seat.
Awesome pictures.
We live a life where we share everything on social media. How cool would it be to get a picture of your favorite singer looking directly at you and your camera? That's a shot you just can't get sitting in the back.
It's worth the wait. The front row can get a little messy, your shoes will get sticky, and people will bump into you left and right, but think of the amazing story you'll be able to tell when you can tell people that DJ Ashba, Nikki Sixx, James Michael, Billy Currington all high fived you. Or that From Ashes to New let you sing into their mic once. Or that you have guitar picks from your favorite band sitting in your room. It's just a feeling that you can't get anywhere else. So go ahead, get in line 4 hours early, and enjoy your next show in the front row!
